SATURDAY THE 10TH
12.30-1pm A CUTTLEFISH DISH WITH SELIN KIAZIM
Chef director of Turkish restaurant Oklava in Shoreditch, and finalist in the current series of Great British Menu, prepares a dish from her new book Oklava; cuttlefish with baharat (a Turkish spice), peas and samphire.
1.30-2pm SUMMER SALADS WITH BONNY PORTER
Bonny Porter of gourmet meatball restaurant Balls & Company will whip up three delicious salads: charred corn, pomegranate and puffed rice; baby gem and greens and, courgette, pine nut, tea soaked raisins and ricotta.
2.30-3pm SPICY VENISON SALAD WITH SOM SAA
Co-head chefs Andy Oliver and Mark Dobbie of Som Saa in Spitalfields, will prepare larb muang kwang. Larb is a Thai salad made from hand minced meat or fish (and sometimes snake, frog or lizard!), Som Saa will use venison and its offal.
3.30-4pm SOHO FOOD FEAST COCKTAIL COMPETITION
Four of Soho's finest bartenders from Bar Termini, Brasserie Zédel, Ceviche and HIX compete for the title...
SUNDAY THE 11TH
1.30-2pm SHELLFISH STEW WITH NUNO MENDES
Acclaimed Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes (of Taberna de Mercado and Chiltern Firehouse) will put together a seafood açorda (shellfish bread stew), from his soon-to-be-published book Lisboeta.
2.30-3pm DESSERTS À LA FRAISE WITH BLANCHETTE
Learn how to make a classic strawberry tart, strawberries with grand marnier sabayon and flambé strawberries with chef director Tam Storrar and head chef William Alexander from Parisian-style bistro Blanchette.
3.15-3.45pm SOHO FOOD FEAST CAKE COMPETITION
This year, judges Justin Gellatly of Bread Ahead Bakery & School and Anita Moir of Meals & Moir, are looking for the best classic, best new flavour and best looking cake. Kids and adults baking creations will be judged separately. Lovely prizes up for grabs...

This year in the Church Hall we will hold our annual cake competition. This is open to all guests and participants - kids, adults and chefs! This year, judges Justin Gellatly of Bread Ahead Bakery & School and Anita Moir of Meals & Moir, are looking for the best classic, best new flavour and best looking cake. Kids and adults baking creations will be judged separately.
Cakes can be stored in the church hall before the competition if you ask for assistance at the merchandise stand at the event. Please deliver all cakes to the church hall by 3pm, judging will commence from 3.15pm.
Cakes will be sold to the public after the competition has taken place, and the winner will be announced after the raffle draw.
K I D S A C T I V I T I E S //
We are a very child friendly event, and all children under 16 are free to attend with an adult. The children’s vegetable sculpture competition grows more famous every year! This year, we are going to hold it on both Saturday and Sunday for all our young guests to enjoy. We have face painting and an arts and crafts section to draw and have fun.
